The range of sculptures available in our gallery and online varies from the traditional Bust and Wildlife sculptures to the more abstract, modern form of art for which the Shona people are rightly world famous. We have over 200 sculptures in our gallery carved from 13 different types of stone including soapstone, verdite, springstone, serpentine, leopard stone and opalstone. Founded by Painter Ian Pearson and Sculptor John Wiles, The Sacred Voice Gallery is devoted to the primal mediums that they regard as the sacred voice of humanity. The artists intend to show through their work that these media are as powerful today as they were at the dawn of human expression.

Ian Pearson and John Wiles both work in a figurative style inspired by surrealism and pop art. Thematically much of their work involves debunking the myths of western civilization.
